二つ以上の英文になっても構わない。次の［例］のように「,」「.」などは語数に含めない。短縮形は1語と数える。

なんとなく書いてみたのが以下のもの。

I read for both pleasure and to learn. Reading fiction provides enjoyment and relaxation, while non-fiction helps me gain knowledge and insights.

あれ？語数が全然足りません。まずい・・・。書き直し。

 Reading is a great way to learn new things, explore new worlds, and gain valuable knowledge.I read for both reasons. Reading helps me relax and unwind after a long day, and it also helps me stay informed about the world around me. 

まず、わざわざ、「二つ以上の英文になっても構わない」とありますので、「短い英文をたくさん作る」ことを考えます。そのほうが簡単ですから。

でも、この英文。テストの答えとしてはイマイチですね。まず、答えが二つある。「pleasureなの？learnなの？」となってしまいます。テストの回答としては、一つの答えを出しましょう。

そして、その後にそれを説明する例を出す。上の文章は自分がリラックスできる、世界のいろいろなことを知ることができるとありますが、もう少し具体的なものが入るといいかもしれません。

そこで、もう一度書き直し。

I read for pleasure.I enjoy reading the books of Ryunosuke Akutagawa. It’s not because I think his books are inherently superior to those of other authors.But His books are written in beautiful Japanese and the unexpected stories captivate me.
